5/25/2023 0 Comments Making Waves by Christina Lee![]() ![]() And not everyone wants to jump straight into a relationship when they’ve just started college. He’s on the swim team and just doesn’t have time. The smaller conflict is that neither MC wants a relationship. It’s the way the conflicts are handled that I didn’t like. ![]() The book is well-written, not angsty, but has a decent amount of conflict. I love that Remy, who’s older, is the quiet and artsy one whereas Alex is the jock. There’s mutual respect there, they communicate, and they spend time getting to know each other. You see, on one hand, I really liked both the protagonists and I found their romance to be done well. It’s total bullshit though, and where a lot of my mixed feelings come from. But Bailey hates his brother for “ruining their family” so things are complicated. ![]() Now, Alex and Bailey, the brother, are going to the same college and old feelings resurface. They shared a kiss, and a bit more, but then things fell apart in Remy’s family and he left for college. Alex has had a crush on Remy for a while and, two years ago, Remy admitted that the crush was reciprocated. Just one more book till this series ends, and it’s an Eden Finley book in which I’ll get to see Maddox again so I’m really fucking excited. Series: Franklin U #7 (works as standalone) ![]()
